I put down another block. Then another and another and another. Counting each out loud as they link together to form my best tower yet! The colors are something that I’m very proud of you know. I used green, red, purple, yellow, blue… Did I mention green? Oh and also orange!
I also put little men all over it, so it looks like they are building it instead of me. So they definitely worked very hard to make this masterpiece. And at the very top I placed my bear Hank. He has been with me through thick and thin. Protecting me from all the nightmares and monsters. That’s why he deserves the best spot. Unlike Mr. Wiggles who decided to hide from me under my bed. He should know I don’t like looking under there!
I step back from my tower with a smile, doing a little dance before turning and running down the hall.
“Mommy, mommy, mommy! I finished my tower!” I yell, running up to my mom and tugging at her shirt. “You gotta see, it’s the tallest one yet.”
“Really?” she asks, looking down at me with a smile. “Well lucky for you, I just finished our sandwiches.” She hands me my plate and I gasp with delight. “Peanut butter and jelly stars and ham and cheese circles.”
“These are my favorite!” I squeal, taking a bite of one of my stars. “Tank you mommy!”
“You’re very welcome.” She gives me a kiss on the cheek, making me giggle. “Now lets go see that tower, yeah?”
