He is my book

The spine of its chapters catching pupil

Making me grab with delicate hands

Plucking an unknown story from it’s wooden barings

An intriguing cover

Pinpricks of light pulling me closer

I flip to the first page, reading

Only one simple word

But enough to sweep me in

I continue to peel back your pages

Discovering more fascination with each turn

Something I never knew could be

A person who loves me for me

A being of pure authenticity

With a golden first edition seal

You complete my blank pages

Scrawling the acknowledgement

To the one who deserves me the most
